Something just occured to me...when I did my speech awhile back on the Sufferage movement, to be more exact, Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton. I discovered that these first Feminists and many that preceeded them were Pro-Life. However that changed in the 1970's, when the Sexual Revolution took place. Then (and now) If you oppose abortion, then you are considered an "Anti-Feminist" or "Anti-Women's Rights". When that is the complete opposite stance that the original feminists and supporters of the women's rights movement held.
If we're looking at the beliefs that the original "feminist party" were founded upon, it is only logical to believe that if you are Pro-Choice, you are Anti-Feminist. (Susan and Elizabeth are probably rolling in their graves knowing that the Pro-Choice = Feminist stance is considered "the norm")
Maybe that's just me...and a few countless other like me...
"Sweeter even than to have had the joy of caring for children of my own has it been to me to help bring about a better state of things for mothers generally, so their unborn little ones could not be willed away from them."Susan B. Anthony
"When we consider that women are treated as property, it is degrading to women that we should treat our children as property to be disposed of as we see fit."Elizabeth Cady Stanton
